A new study finds that changing the default settings on your computer can make a huge difference in how fast you can complete the task.
The study, published in the journal Scientific Reports, shows that changing default settings for Windows 10 on the new Intel Core i7-8700K processor can make the difference between a 3% increase in performance and a 4% decrease.
The study also found that changing Windows 10 defaults to “Always on” on the laptop can reduce the amount of time your computer spends processing the images it receives on the screen.
The change reduces the amount the computer spends on a task, reducing the amount it has to do.
