A computer-generated quilt is a piece of fabric made with a computer program that mimics the natural, organic movement of the quilt.
But how do you create a quilt that doesn’t look like anything that’s ever been done before?
You use Photoshop to create a computer model of the fabric.
How do you add that quilt to your project?
This tutorial will walk you through that process.
What do I need?
To make a quilted fabric, you’ll need a computer, a template, and a bunch of pattern scraps.
A computer program creates the fabric and stitches it together, using the computer’s pattern-matching algorithm.
Pattern-match is a process in which a pattern matches a certain pattern of text or data, then matches a different pattern of data and shows you a different text or image.
It’s essentially a shortcut for finding a similar pattern in the internet.
You can find pattern-matched text on the internet by searching for the word “pattern,” but in this tutorial, we’re going to show you how to use Photoshop and Photoshop Light to make a simple, computer-made quilt out of scraps of fabric.
This tutorial is for the Adobe Creative Suite, but it can be easily extended to other Adobe programs.
How to use this tutorial?
First, open Photoshop.
You should see a message like this: “Open File…”
Click on the “File” menu button to open Photoshop’s File menu.
Next, click on the small square icon in the upper-right corner of the File menu to select “Open…”.
Then, select the “Image” menu item, and click on “Save…” to save the image.
Next to the file icon, click “OK” to close the File Menu.
The file menu will open again, and you’ll see a dialog box saying “Open file…”.
Choose “Image…” to open the file you just saved.
You’ll see three icons in the File list.
The first icon is the pattern-matcher.
Click on this icon to start the pattern matching process.
The second icon is “Match.”
Click on it to match the pattern with the pattern you saved.
Click “Next” to continue matching patterns.
The final icon is a blue square that says “Save.”
The file will be saved to the same location you saved the file in.
Now, click the “Paste” button in the lower-right of the file list to paste the pattern into Photoshop.
A new dialog box will appear saying “Save Image” and a message box asking “Can you save this image as a PNG image instead?”
Click “Yes” to save this file as a JPEG image instead.
Now click the button to close Photoshop.
Now you can save the file as you normally would.
Now that you’ve saved the pattern and matched the pattern, you can add it to your quilt using the pattern tool.
Select the pattern in Photoshop and select the color.
You may want to make sure the background and edges are the same color as the quilters’ colors.
Click the “Add…” button to add the pattern to the pattern.
Choose the color, and press “Add” to add a new color.
Then click the next button to choose the color that will be used for the background.
Click next to the “Pattern” tool to add this new pattern to your pattern.
You will see a small triangle icon next to a green rectangle.
This icon is your “Pattern Grid.”
This is your pattern grid.
You use the pattern grid to organize the patterns you’ve added.
You want the background of your quilter’s quilt in the center of the pattern rectangle.
You don’t want the patterns to be too large or too small.
Click here to add more patterns to your new quilt, and select “Add New Pattern.”
Your new quiltery’s pattern is now in your pattern-maker.
Now your quilts quilt should look something like this.
You now have a quill with a design that matches the colors of your background and quiltering fabrics.
Your quilts quilt can look much better if you use the patterns in the pattern maker to adjust the fabric color to match your background.
You might even want to give the quilts design a bit more dimension.
Here’s how you do that: First, click your quill in the “Quilt” menu to open your pattern maker.
Choose a new pattern.
Select “Make Changes” to select a new texture.
Click Next to continue adjusting the texture.
The texture will now be on the right side of your new pattern-making tool.
Click your quilets quill to open a new tool window.
This window allows you to add new textures to your patterns.
In this tutorial we’re making the pattern for our quilt by applying a few color changes.
You only need to apply the changes to one side of the texture
